Introduction

European BEST Engineering Competition - EBEC is the biggest external event organized by BEST. All engineering students are eligible to enter the competition, but only the best ones can win and progress beyond local level - almost 6000 students will participate in local rounds, over 650 of them will proceed to regional or national level, and 120 will participate in the final. This year’s edition of EBEC Final will be held on August 1th - 9th in Warsaw, Poland.

Regional Alpe-Adria Round – EBEC Alpe-Adria is an annual event organized by local BEST groups from Vienna, Graz, Ljubljana, Maribor and Zagreb. It is preceded by five local qualification rounds, one in each of those cities, and is itself one of 15 regional or national competitions that delegate their winners to EBEC.

EBEC Alpe-Adria 2013

EBEC Alpe-Adria 2013 will take place at Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Maribor, on May 9th - 12th. During event, 40 local round winners will compete in two categories: team design and case study, solving different engineering and management problems. After their work is done, the teams will have a chance to present the outcomes in front of a jury, professors and stu student auditorium on a large-scale stage. On 12th of May, jury will announce best teams who will represent this region in EBEC Final competition.
